IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu today laid the foundation stone for Raghu Vamsi Aerospace's proposed manufacturing facility at Shamshabad Aerospace Park, calling it a significant milestone in Telangana's aerospace and defense sector.
The company manufactures critical aircraft engine components and defense products, and is expanding through this facility. Built with an investment of Rs 300 crore, this upcoming facility will span 200,000 square feet and is expected to generate 1,200 direct jobs over the next three years.
Speaking at the event, Sridhar Babu said that the facility would help fulfill Rs 2,000 crore worth of existing orders, reinforcing Telangana's status as a global hub for aerospace and defense industries.
The minister said that the company had grown from a humble MSME in 2002 to a global manufacturer of vital aviation components such as fuel pumps and landing gear systems, and that it would now play a critical role in strengthening Telangana's aerospace industry, a key pillar of India's defense manufacturing ecosystem.
Sridhar Babu also praised the thriving ecosystem of Hyderabad's Aerospace SEZ, which hosts leading companies such as Tata, Bharat Forge and Adani, engaged in manufacturing aviation, defense and space vehicles. He said that there were over 1,500 MSMEs in the region, which provided employment to thousands of skilled workers and were integral to the ecosystem.
Reaffirming the Telangana government's commitment to industrial growth, Babu spoke about the incentives under the newly launched MSME policy that encouraged the establishment of industrial units in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns across the State.
