The rebel MP of Andhra Pradesh's ruling YSRCP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju today said that he would appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is inquiring into the MLA poachgate case, on November 29.
Speaking to the media today, Raju said that he had received notices from the SIT, and that it had asked him to appear before it at 10:30 am on the scheduled date.
Stating that he was in public life, Raju said that he would have to pose for photos with anybody without showing any discrimination, and that it was incomprehensible for the SIT to call him for an interrogation just because he was in photos with some people. He said that AP CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was an accused in 32 criminal cases, and that by the SIT's criteria all the 150 MLAs who posed for pictures with Jagan could be termed as criminals.
Also pointing out that one of the accused, Nanda Kumar, featured in photos with Union Minister for Tourism & Culture G Kishan Reddy, he asked if the SIT would issue notices to the union minister too in the case.
Raju said that he had never made negative comments against the TRS government, and that he had in fact praised the performance of the government on many occasions. He claimed that CM K Chandrashekar Rao would not harm anybody as he was a good ruler. He also said that he was a settler in the State capital, and that Hyderabad had several persons like him.
