"Dead" Newborn Found Alive At Cremation Site

A 3-day-old baby, whom doctors at a government hospital in Warangal pronounced dead, was found alive at the cremation ground.
Hyderabad | 2nd July 2017
In a bizarre incident, a 3-day-old baby, whom doctors at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, a government hospital, in Warangal pronounced dead and issued a death certificate to the effect, was found alive at the cremation ground on the city outskirts on Sunday.

The baby, who was born very weak and motionless, was admitted to MGM Hospital on Friday. She was put in an incubator, and her condition deteriorated on Saturday evening. The doctors then declared the newborn dead and issued a death certificate.

Her grieving parents Srinivas and Swapna of Pegadapally village, while preparing to cremate the baby on Sunday, suddenly saw that she was showing symptoms of life and was moving.

The couple took the baby back to the hospital and accosted the doctors, who started treating her again.
