This was announced by Hyderabad District in-charge Collector G Ravi at a review meeting.
He said that there were 4,85,965 children below the age of five in the city, and that instructions were issued to the health authorities to administer pulse polio drops to all of them.
The programme would be taken up from 7 am to 6 pm, he said, and advised all parents to ensure that their chidren were given polio drops without fail.
The vaccine will not be distributed door to door at least in cities. One should go with the baby to the location where the vaccine will be administered by health workers or volunters.
