Prohibitory Orders Extended Till Sep 28

City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma has extended the prohibitory orders in the city limits till September 28.

The Commissioner has prohibited all public meetings and processions within Hyderabad City, that have not obtained prior permission of Zonal Dy. Commissioners of Police of Law and Order, Addl. Commissioner of Police of Law and Order, Jt. Commissioner of Police of Co-ordination & Security, or Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.

Carrying of arms such as swords, spears, knives, sticks (with or without flags), bludgeons, guns, explosives, and other offensive weapons has also been prohibited in the above mentioned areas.

Gathering of persons on public roads or public places, disturbing peace and order or causing inconvenience, annoyance or danger to public, carrying of stones or other means of casting missiles has been prohibited.

The orders prohibit the use of mikes and public address systems by different Organisations around the Secretariat premises, including the Burgula Rama Krishna Rao Building, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Building, the Commissioner of Fisheries building, Mint Compound, Nizam College and its surroundings, the AP Legislative Assembly premises and surrounding roads, Public Garden (Nampally), Upper Tankbund, I-MAX, Rotary and NTR Marg roads, and the fly-over leading from Secretariat to Visweswarayya statue in Khairatabad.

Music, singing, speeches or broadcasting through loud speakers, the use of mikes and public address systems, and the use of vehicle horns has been prohibited. No organisation or members of public can indulge in the above.

Any person violating the above orders will be liable for prosecution under the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348, Fasli (No. IX).

These prohibitory orders will remain in force from 6am on Sep 22 to 6am on Sept 28. (INN)
