To maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Commissioner of Police Anurag Sharma has issued prohibitory orders that will be force from 6am on June 30 to 6am on July 6.
The Commissioner has prohibited the holding of any kind of public meetings and processions in the capital city without obtaining prior permission from Zonal Dy. Commissioners, Additional Commissioner or Joint Commissioner of Police (Co-ordination & Security), or the Commissioner of Police.
He also prohibited the carrying of arms including swords, spears, knives, sticks (with or without flags), bludgeons, guns, explosives and other offensive weapons.
Gathering of persons on public roads or places, carrying of stones or other objects that can be used as missiles, and use of mikes / public address systems by any organisations around the Secretariat premises, including at the following places, are banned: the Burgula Rama Krishna Rao building, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation building, the Commissioner of Fisheries building, the Mint Compound, Nizam College and its surroundings, the A P Legislative Assembly premises and surrounding roads, Public Gardens in Nampally, Upper Tankbund, Prasads multiplex (IMAX), Rotary and NTR Marg roads, and the fly-over leading from the Secretariat to the Visweswarayya statue in Khairatabad.
The public have been informed that any person violating the above orders shall be liable for prosecution under the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348, Fasli (No. IX). (INN)
