Post Mortems On Slain Maoists' Bodies Amid Protests
Post mortems were conducted on the bodies of the two Maoists killed in an encounter on Tuesday in the Warangal district, amid protests from relatives and activists.
MGM Hospital doctors today conducted post mortems on the bodies of the two Maoists who were killed in a police encounter on Tuesday morning in the Warangal district.
The post mortem was held amidst protests by the relatives of the deceased, revolutionary writers' unions and public organizations.
It may be recalled that an M. Tech. student Sruthi and M Vidyasagar Reddy of the Peda Pendyala village were killed in an alleged encounter in a forest area in the Warangal district.
Earlier, relatives of the slain Maoists and leaders of public unions staged a sit-in on the road beside the mortuary when the police refused to allow them to see the bodies of the duo.
Speaking on the occasion, VIRASAM leader Varavara Rao lambasted the KCR government's attitude.
He alleged that the encounter was fake, and that the State government was behaving in an undemocratic manner. The KCR government was trying to end the Maoists when they were actually trying to suppress the mining mafia's activities, he said.
