Ponugoti Chokka Rao, Vice President of the All India Confederation of the Blind, and General Secretary of the Development and Welfare Association of the Blind, Hyderabad, today donated his ancestral property in Venkatadripalem, Thipparthy mandal, to the local village panchayat.
The formal handover took place with village secretary Prasanna Laxmi accepting the donation and committing to forwarding the necessary documentation to higher authorities for official formalization.
This generous contribution aims to support community development initiatives in Venkatadripalem. The panchayat plans to utilise the donated land for projects that will benefit the local population, with specific plans to be determined in consultation with community members and local authorities.
Rao, a dedicated advocate for the visually impaired, has been instrumental in various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of blind individuals across the region. His decision to donate the property reflects his commitment to social welfare and community development.
