Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, on Tuesday, accused TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao of triggering a psychological warfare against the Congress party and against other rival parties.
Speaking to media representatives at his residence, Ponnala alleged that KCR was trying to play with the psychology of the Congress leaders using the news channel and the newspaper that he owns.
He alleged that KCR's mouthpieces were carrying out false stories and propaganda against the Congress party in order to demoralise the party's cadre and leaders.
Ponnala also alleged that KCR was luring the leaders of political parties with packages and offers of tickets in the ensuing elections. However, he said, KCR will not be able to accommodate so many leaders who are sure to revolt after they are denied the tickets later on.
Stating that the Congress party will prove its might in the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, he said that the credit for the formation of Telangana should solely go to the Congress party and to AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
"The people of Telangana are fully aware of this fact, and they will bring the Congress to power in the Telangana state in the ensuing polls", he opined.
Ponnala was speaking after admitting former TDP leader Nallamadugu Suresh and OUJAC leader Ramesh Mudiraj into the Congress party. TPCC working president Uttam Kumar Reddy was also present during this meeting. (INN)
