Ponnala Accuses KCR Of Putting Sania Over Farmers
The Telangana Congress chief also accused KCR, his son K Tarakarama Rao, daughter K Kavitha and son-in-law T Harish Rao of "goonda gardi" in the State.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Saturday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of preferring tennis star Sania Mirza over the debt-ridden farmers of the State.
Speaking to media persons, Ponnala said that while KCR had funds to give Rs 2 crores to Sania Mirza, the State government lacked money to support the families of the martyrs of Telangana and the debt-ridden farmers.
He alleged that nearly 174 farmers had committed suicide since the TRS government took over in June 2014. However, the State government did not extend any financial support to them.
Ponnala also accused KCR, his son K Tarakarama Rao, daughter K Kavitha and son-in-law T Harish Rao of doing "goonda gardi" in the State.
He said that the people of Telangana had countered such moves in the past, and they would once again counter the dictatorial attitude of the Chief Minister.
The TPCC chief also demanded that KCR tender an unconditional apology to the dalits for insulting Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah in a public meeting in Warangal. (INN)
