AICC secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, on Sunday, condemned Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Ponguleti alleged that Modi's visit is aimed at disturbing the "peaceful" atmosphere of Hyderabad.
He also condemned TDP MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao for his alleged remarks praising Modi and stating that Modi and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu "would do wonders if they joined hands".
He said that Naidu was part of the NDA for several years, and yet, the parties had failed to bring about any development in the country. He said that such statements were being issued to mislead people.
Ponguleti also slammed Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for threatening to stall the Food Security Bill in the Lok Sabha. He said that Lagadapati ought not make statements that do noe befit his stature, and that he had no powers or capability to stall a bill. He said that Lagadapati should quit the party if he desires to make such anti-Congress statements. (INN)
