Police Harassing Villagers: TRS To Sabitha
The TRS claims that the police have been harassing locals of certain villages since the TJAC has called for a blockade of the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway.
A delegation of TRS MLAs today met Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, and complained about police harassment of people living in villages on the Mahbubnagar border, in wake of the February 24 Sadak Bandh (highway blockade).
In a memorandum submitted to her, they said that police have been harassing locals residing in these villages since the TJAC has called for a blockade of the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway as part of the agitation demanding a faster decision on Telangana.
The Home Minister assured the delegation that she would talk to the Chief Minister in this regard later in the day on the issue.
The delegation was led by TRS floor leader Etela Rajender, T Harish Rao, Harishwar Reddy, E Ravinder Reddy, Sammaiah, Odelu, Jupalli Krishna Rao and others. (INN)
