The TRS leadership today furiously hit out at the comments by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan claiming corruption by KCR.
Speaking to media persons at the TRS Legislature Party office, ministers including T Srinivas Yadav, V Srinivas Goud and G Kamalakar, and MLAs lambasted the BJP for getting national leaders, union ministers and some Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states to indulge in mud-slinging on the TRS government instead of focusing on the development of the country.
"And there is no comparison between Shivraj Singh and KCR," they said. "While KCR is noted for welfare and development with people being the high command, the BJP leaders have their high command in Delhi, and are noted for stopping development. As just one example of the difference in governance, Telangana gives much higher salaries to its government employees than any BJP-run state."
"And how can the BJP talk of jobs, corruption and scams anywhere when they themselves are noted for failing to keep their promises of jobs and denying funds for development? The Niti Aayog recommended Rs 24,000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya in Telangana, but the Modi government denied that to us. The BJP government has only ever come in the way of our state's development," they added.
Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao too separately lashed out at Chauhan.
Talking to media persons at Siddipet, he accused Chauhan of being involved in several scams.
"His remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao are baseless and deliberate. The comments are aimed at spreading falsehoods and destabilising the government. The people of Telangana are however clever, and aware of the welfare schemes implemented in the state in the seven years that the TRS has been in power. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spectacularly failed to keep his promise of creating 2 crore jobs a year," Rao said.
"Singh has no right to talk against KCR or about jobs in Telangana. Singh became Chief Minister by purchasing MLAs, and is involved in the Vyapam and other scams. His Madhya Pradesh has completely failed to achieve development despite his being a multiple-term CM. And it is strange that after the Centre itself said that there was no corruption in the Kaleshwaram project, BJP leaders and union ministers are attributing corruption in the project," he added.
Speaking about GO 317, he said, "The government offers transfers as per needs of the teachers, and as per norms and procedures. However, with no knowledge of any of that, BJP leaders like Bandi Sanjay and D Arvind, and TPCC chief Revanth Reddy go on making false charges."
