The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against TDP MLA Revanth Reddy for allegedly using objectionable words against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The police booked a case against the Telangana TDP working president and MLA based on the complaint of TRS leader Manne Govardhan Reddy who claimed that Revanth Reddy had used inappropriate and objectionable language against KCR before leaving for the venue in the Medak district for launching a hunger strike.
Revanth Reddy yesterday began a 2-day hunger strike at Ettigadda Kistapur in support of the Mallanna Sagar land oustees, demanding justice for them.
The police booked the case against Revanth Reddy under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 290 (punishment for public nuisance) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC.
