PM Announces Ex-Gratia To Kamareddy Road Accident Victims

PM Modi today announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 2 lakh each to the families of the victims of the deadly road accident that took place in Kamareddy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 2 lakh each to the families of the victims of the deadly road accident that took place in Kamareddy district in Telangana.

He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members.

Modi also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 50,000 each to all those injured in the accident.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) made this announcement on its official Twitter handle.

The tragic road accident took place at Hasanpally in Kamareddy district on Sunday evening. A mini-van hit a lorry killing nine persons on the spot and leaving 17 others seriously injured.

All the victims of the accident belonged to the same family, and were returning to their place of residence after attending an event at Yellareddy.

Meanwhile, the police have said they had identified the lorry driver and would soon catch him.
