Pink Day: Govt Hospitals To Get 51,998 Bed Sheets
Government hospitals across Telangana will turn pink with ministers, MPs, MLAs and other leaders distributing 51,998 pink bedsheets to mark Pink Day on May 8.
Government hospitals across the state will turn pink with ministers, MPs, MLAs and other leaders distributing 51,998 pink bedsheets on behalf of the health department to mark Pink Day on May 8.
The health wing has prepared a plan to distribute the bedsheets among the hospitals for the upkeep of the beds in the hospitals. Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao will launch the program formally at Siddipet Government Area Hospital on May 8 during the morning hours. Other ministers, MPs and MLAs will participate in the same program in their respective districts and involve the people in a big way.
The present bed capacity in the hospitals is 10,737, and on Monday as many as 51,998 bedsheets will be distributed in the districts. They will comprise 19,974 pink, 19,974 white, 6,025 pale blue and 6,025 dark blue sheets.
