The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday will hear a writ petition for admission seeking a ban on the Bhartiya Janata Party.
According to Advocate Ghulam Rabbani, a Writ Petition Vide W. P. No. 5788 of 2014 has been filed in the High Court, complaining of inaction by the Election Commission Of India in taking action on the representation given by him to unregister and impose a ban on the BJP as a political party for the violation of the model code of conduct prescribed for political parties from the past 3 consecutive elections - 1999, 2004 and 2009 - by including the construction of a grand Ram Mandir in its election manifesto.
The writ petition is posted for hearing for admission on Friday on the bench of the Chief Justice. (INN)
