A case was registered in a Hyderabad court against MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, for a provocative speech that allegedly incites hatred between religious communities. The case was filed by a BJP member, K K Sagar.
The case was filed under sections 295 (A) and 298 of the Indian Penal Code.
42-year-old Akbaruddin, the younger of the two Owaisi brothers, belongs to the All India Majlis-e Ittihad al-Muslimin. He had made the speech during his tours of districts in Andhra Pradesh.
The speech has been removed from the Internet by the user who posted it, but it sparked outrage on the Internet for its incendiary content.
What is not important that a mad man said these things and he has done that earlier too. What is important is that a crowd of 20,000 constantly cheered and hailed him. Doesn't he represent the prejudice of that crowd?
