Following reports that Bhadrachalam division could be made part of Seemandhra after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, representatives of all political parties called for a Khammam bandh on November 19.
Political leaders belonging to New Democracy, TRS, BJP and TDP, who met in Khammam at the office of New Democracy, decided to protest against any move to make Bhadrachalam part of Seemandhra.
They said that Bhadrachalam should be part of the Telangana state, and that any change in its status would be opposed.
It may be mentioned here that the Telangana JAC has already called for a 72-hour Bhadrachalam division bandh from November 15 in protest against the proposal. (INN)
