Rajya Sabha member Palwai Govardhan Reddy has demanded the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu from his post due to his failure to waive off the agricultural loans of farmers in the State.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Palwai condemned the behavior of Chandrababu Naidu in going back on the poll promise of waiving off the loans.
He asked whether Naidu was not aware that before the elections the loan waiver promise was highly difficult to be implemented.
"I am demanding that the Chief Minister waive off the loans of farmers, DWCRA and weavers in the State immediately. If he can't do that, he must apologize to the people and resign from his post," he said.
Palwai also accused Naidu of wasting public money on his swearing-in-ceremony and for facilities in his chambers in the Secretariat. (INN)
