2 gates of Osmansagar were opened as it crossed its full capacity.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water And Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) authorities on Monday lifted 2 gates of the Osmansagar drinking water reservoir to a height of 4 feet following the full tank level of 1790 feet being surpassed.

About 1000 cusec of water was released downstream into the Musi river. The HMWSSB warned people living downstream to be cautious.

The officials further said that further inflows in the reservoir were expected, and they might have to release more water by opening more gates.
