Orange Alert: Heatwave In Telangana Until April 16

Telangana is bracing for a significant heatwave, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, issuing an orange alert predicting severe heat conditions persisting until April 16.
The IMD has issued an orange alert for Hyderabad on April 16, predicting maximum temperatures ranging between 41?C and 44?C. The alert also applies to several districts across the State from April 12 to 16.
Weather forecasts from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) and the IMD today predicted that maximum temperatures would rise by 2?C to 3?C above normal over the next three days.
Between Saturday and Sunday, Telangana recorded its highest temperature at Chinna Thandrapadu in Gadwal district, reaching 41.8?C. In suburban areas, the Maheswaram industrial zone in Ranga Reddy recorded a maximum of 41.2?C and the Medchal industrial area registered 40.1?C. Within the Hyderabad metropolitan area, the highest temperature was 39.5?C at the ward office in Nehru Nagar.
Other areas experiencing elevated temperatures included Gubbagurthy in Khammam at 41.7?C, Ghanpur in Nalgonda at 41.7?C and Talamadugu in Adilabad at 41.6?C.
