The medical tests on IAS officer Y Srilakshmi cannot possibly be completed before 26 March, doctors at Osmania Hospital said.
The Osmania Hospital Medical Board has said that it will not be possible to conduct medical tests on the accused in the OMC scam before the 25th, as directed by the court. The board has said that Srilakshmi should be brought to the hospital at 9am on 30 March for the medical examination.
Y Srilakshmi surrendered on Thursday as her interim bail term expired. The CBI special court has posted her petition seeking extension of interim bail to 25 March, and has asked the jail authorities to get a medical report by then.
With the doctors setting a fresh date for her medical examination, the court has to give a ruling on the issue.
The CBI contends that Y Srilakshmi has no health problem, while the IAS officer said that she needs an extension of bail on health grounds. (INN)
