CBI Custody Of Vijay Sai Extended

The CBI Special Court extends the CBI's custody of Vijay Sai Reddy till 16 January.

The CBI Special court, on Friday, extended Vijay Sai Reddy's CBI custody for 3 more days, from 14 January to 16 January.

The CBI's counsel seeked an extention of his custody in order to investigate further the foreign investments into companies floated by Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

In addition to extending the CBI's custody of Vijay Sai Reddy, the court directed the authorities to produce him in court on 17 January.

The court also asked the probing agency to interrogate him in the presence of his lawyer, from 10am to 5pm.

The court directed the authorities to shift him to the Chanchalguda Jail, after interrogation, where he needs clearance to receive special class prisoner status. (INN)
