The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Friday termed the ongoing Odarpu yatra taken out by Jagan to console the families of those people who died following the death of his father the former CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, as a 'political drama'.
Talking to media persons, CPM leader Gundu Mallesh said that the Odarpu yatra was just a political stunt to mislead people of the state.
Mallesh also criticised the comments allegedly made by Jagan in which he reportedly compared his father to Mahatma Gandhi.
The CPM leader quoted a Telugu line, 'nakka ku nagalokam ku unnanta teda' (there is a lot of difference between the heavens and a fox), and said that there is a lot of difference between the father of the nation and the former chief minister.
Jagan had reportedly made the comparison in his message to the people of Andhra origin who celebrated YSR Jayanti in foreign countries.
