The CBI, on Friday, filed a supplementary charge-sheet in the illegal mining case of Obulapuram Mining Company, by naming suspended bureaucrat Y Srilakshmi as the 6th accused.
The probing agency filed a 39-page supplementary chargesheet in the CBI Special Court at Nampally, and submitted 14 documents supporting its charges against Srilakshmi. The CBI also mentioned the names of 13 new witnesses in the chargesheet.
Earlier in the day, the CBI reportedly questioned Srilakshmi at Chanchalguda Jail, in connection with the case of disproportionate assets of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Meanwhile, the court also extended the remand of Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy to Saturday.
The court extended the remand of Emaar scam accused Koneru Prasad, Sunil Reddy, Vijay Raghav and B P Acharya, to 13 April.
The court granted bail to T Ranga Rao, former bureaucrat K V Rao, and Srikant Joshi. While granting bail, the court asked K V Rao and Srikant Joshi to furnish bonds of Rs. 25,000 each. (INN)
