The nomination process for the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, scheduled to be held on May 13 in the State, concluded today.
The deadline for filing nominations was at 3 PM this afternoon. According to officials, more than 600 candidates filed their nominations for the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the State.
The scrutiny of nominations is set to take place on April 26, and the candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their nominations until April 29.
This time, the general elections are being conducted in seven phases across the country. Telangana is part of the fourth phase that will take place on May 13, when the elections for the 17 Lok Sabha seats of the State and the by-election for the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly seat will be held simultaneously.
