The state government has granted the go ahead for filling up of 107 vacant posts for faculty in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University colleges in Kakinada and Vizianagaram.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday gave the permission for filling up of the 107 vacant posts of professors, assistant professors and associate professors of JNTU colleges at Kakinada and Vizianagaram.
Besides this, the Chief Minister also gave the nod for the creation of 653 teaching and non-teaching posts at 49 Polytechnics, which was already sanctioned during the years 2008-09 and 2009-10. However, this decision of creation of 653 posts will be ratified at the next cabinet meeting.
The next cabinet meeting will be held shortly, according to an official communication.
