The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) today announced plans to scale up its investment in Telangana.
NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh and his team met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the latter's residence in Jubilee Hills to present their investment proposals for the State.
Singh said that the NTPC was prepared to invest about Rs 80,000 crore in solar and wind energy projects in Telangana.
The NTPC team said that they were committed to the State's renewable energy sector, which they said had the potential to generate 6,700 megawatts of power from a floating solar facility.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assured the NTPC of the State government's full support for its investment plans.
