Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao claimed that except for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, no political party had a future in Telangana.
Addressing the TRS' extended session at Kompally on Tuesday, KCR claimed that TRS had the best cadre of all political parties in the state.
The brilliant minds and the youth were joining the TRS in large numbers, and they would take the party to the next level, he said, advising them to work unitedly to achieve the goal of "Bangaru Telangana".
The Chief Minister said that there would be an increase of two Assembly segments in each Parliamentary constituency from the next elections, which would take the total number of Assembly seats from 119 to 154. He expressed confidence that the TRS would win 135-140 seats in the next elections.
KCR also listed out various schemes launched by his government for the welfare of the people. He said that the government was spending Rs 3,500 crores on pensions. Further, it had started the ambitious Water Grid project to provide tap water supply to all households across the state. He reminded the party workers of his promise of not seeking votes in the next elections if he failed to fulfill this promise. (INN)
