No Shortage Of Anti-Rabies Vaccine
With the increasing death toll due to rabies in view, DL clarified that there was no shortage in the supply of anti-rabies vaccine at government hospitals.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday convened a ministerial meet in Hyderabad to discuss medical issues in the state.
Upon emerging from the meet, Health Minister D L Ravindra Reddy informed the media that the KKR government would soon introduce a new scheme named Janani. He explained that Janani was aimed at reducing the infant and maternal mortality rates in the state.
With the increasing death toll due to dog bites in the state in view, the Health Minister clarified that there was no shortage in the supply of anti-rabies vaccine at government hospitals, and that stringent action would be taken against all those who claim a shortage in the supply of vaccines. Numerous people in the districts of East and West Godavari had lost their lives to the alleged non-availability of anti-rabies vaccine at government hospitals.
The CM had returned to the city on Monday morning from his 2-day reconciliatory visit to his native village Nagirepalli. He had also visited Tirumala Tirupati on his way back, and offered his hair and mustache to the Lord.
