Despite demands from aspirants that the selection of candidates for the Group-1 main examinations should be in 1:100 ratio instead of the 1:50 ratio, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today made it clear that the State government would conduct the Group-1 exam as per the announced schedule, and that there would be no changes to the current notification.
Speaking at a programme at JNTU, the Chief Minister said that the vacancies would be filled as per the given notification keeping in mind the futures of the candidates.
"Some candidates are asking for a 1:100 selection ratio for the Group-1 main exam. The State government has no objection in this regard, but if anyone goes to court after that, then the entire recruitment process will get halted and the candidates will face difficulties. In a bid to avoid such problems in the future, the State government has decided to conduct the Group-1 examination as per the guidelines of the issued notification," Reddy said.
The CM also said that those who didn't write the exams were misleading the unemployed and were demanding the postponement of the exams.
"I enquired about those persons who are leading the agitation. Those persons don't not have any record of having written a single exam, and are not even preparing for the exam. This is a strange situation. Some persons are misleading the unemployed youth on the job notification," the CM said.
He also said that the job calendar would be announced in the coming Assembly sessions, and that the State government was committed to recruiting for all vacant posts.
