YSR Photo Issue: Niranjan Disagrees With KVP
APCC general secretary G Niranjan says there was no need for the APYC to place YSR's photo at the meeting, as he was not known to have inspired youth in particular.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary G Niranjan, on Wednesday, took serious note on former government advisor and Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao's objection to not placing former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's portrait in the Youth Congress State Committee's swearing-in ceremony.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Niranjan said that there was no need for the APYC to place YSR's photo at the meeting, as he was not known to have inspired youth in particular. He said that AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi's photo ought to be placed at the meetings of the Youth Congress Committee.
Niranjan accused KVP of raising the photo issue in order to create differences among Youth Congress leaders.
He said that the reason YSR's photo is not being used is that his family members had disallowed its use. He also asked why KVP did not respond to allegations leveled by YSRCP leaders against the Congress. (INN)
