AICC general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Congress affairs Digvijay Singh lashed out at the BJP government at the Centre alleging that it was hatching a conspiracy to see that Congress MP K V P Ramachandra Rao's private bill was not tabled.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Singh said that the Centre was trying to postpone the Rajya Sabha to see that the discussion was not held on the private bill.
Pointing out that a decision was taken by the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Cabinet to accord Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, Singh said that there was no need to make a special act for it now.
Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao has moved a private bill to take up a discussion on Special Status to Andhra Pradesh.
