National Commission for Women chairperson Rekha Sharma today reportedly hailed the police encounter of the four accused in the Disha rape and murder case near Shamshabad in the early hours of Friday.
Reacting to the encounter that was being appreciated by one and all, Sharma said that the police sometimes took good decisions.
"As a common woman, I welcome the encounter," she said, adding that that accused in such cases should be dealt with such punishments.
She also said that the NCW had sought the death sentence to the four accused in the case anyway.
The National Human Rights Commission however ordered an inquiry into the encounter.
