Suspected Maoists allegedly killed 2 persons and kidnapped another 4 in two districts of the state on Thursday.
According to Warangal police, suspected Maoists shot dead 1 man after kidnapping 3 persons in the wee hours of Thursday. It is believed that the Maoists shot dead Shaik Majid (30), a resident of Lakshmipuram, suspecting that he was a police informer. He was found with multiple bullet injuries on various parts of his body. His neck was also slit.
The other two persons who were picked up by the suspected Maoists, Korram Sammaiah and Chiranjeevi, both residents of Tupakulagudem, are yet to be traced. They are stated to be around 30 years of age each.
Meanwhile, police in Karimnagar say that suspected Maoists have shot dead 1 man and kidnapped 2 others under Kataram police station limits. The police believe that the 3 were picked up by the Maoists on suspicion of being police informers.
According to the police, Satyam was shot dead at the hands of the Maoists. The two others who were taken along with him forcibly are yet to be traced. Their identity also is not clear, police say.
The police shifted the bodies of both the victims on getting information, and registered cases under section 302 of the IPC.
