Modi Appointed PM By President, Oath on May 26
President Pranab Mukherjee also requested Modi to inform him of the persons to be appointed as members of the Council of Ministers.

A delegation of 15 members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the BJP President Rajnath Singh met President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The other members of the delegation were Lal Krishna Advani, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Ananth Kumar, Thavar Chand Gehlot, Prakash Singh Badal, Chandrababu Naidu, Uddhav Thakrey, Ram Vilas Paswan, Neiphu Rio and Sukhbir Singh Badal.
A letter stating that Narendra Modi had been elected as the Leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party was handed over to the President.
Later, Narendra Modi, the Leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party, also called on the President.
As Modi had been elected as the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party and the BJP had the majority support in the House of the People (the Lok Sabha), the President appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India, and requested Modi to advise him regarding the names of the persons to be appointed as Members of the Council of Ministers.
The President will administer the Oath of Office and Secrecy to Modi and his Council of Ministers on May 26 at 6pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan.(INN)
