Former Congress minister Jeevan Reddy on Thursday stated that Telugu Desam Party Rajya Sabha Member Nandamuri Harikrishna was forefront in backstabbing the Telugu Desam Party during the tenure of former chief minister N T Rama Rao.
Talking to media persons on Assembly premises, Jeevan Reddy stated that during the tenure of N T Rama Rao, hi son-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu and son Harikrishna hatched a conspiracy to dislodge the TDP founder from the chief minister's post.
Referring to the letter written by Harikrishna in which he had lambasted the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership as well as some Congress leaders, including him, Jeevan Reddy said that the letter was authored by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, and that it was aimed at tarnishing Harikrishna's image.
He opined that Harikrishna could have well gone through the contents of the letter before passing it on to the media since it has dented his and his party's image.
Refuting the statements of Harikrishna, who described TDP as Telanga Development Party, Jeevan Reddy termed TDP the 'Telangana Drohi Party.'
