Minister For Municipal Administration Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, and Minister For Law and Courts M Venkatarmana Rao on Wednesday came down heavily on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu, and accused him of not reacting directly to Chief Minister K Rosaiah's challenge for a judicial enquiry into his assets.
Speaking to media persons at separate press briefings at the Secretariat, the ministers said that Naidu had deputed his lieutenant Kodela Sivaprasada Rao to speak on his behalf.
The ministers said that Kodela had no locus standi to speak anything as he was himself involved in a bomb blast case in his house, and had been absolved with the help of the then NDA government.
The duo added that Naidu was actively indulging in the mudslinging exercise, and this was unbecoming of his status. They added that Naidu himself had lowered his status by airing his views in a filthy manner.
At a time when the government was serious about extending a helping hand to the flood victims, Naidu resorted to politicise the relief operations, the ministers alleged.
The ministers stated that Naidu's real colours had come to the fore and he should be prepared to face the media for a debate, and agree to a judicial enquiry into his assets.
The duo emphasised that Naidu's deputy Kodela had no authority to speak for his leader on that subject.
