Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday exhorted youth to join active politics, for strengthening the democracy in the country.
Speaking on the second day of the brain-storming session at the party's headquarters, NTR Trust Bhavan, Naidu said that there is an urgent need to promote youth in politics.
He said that youth have played an active role in exposing corruption and irregularities in the country.
They must play a similar role in electoral politics too, he added.
Naidu said that thousands of jobs have been lost due to corruption at various levels in the Congress-ruled state and country.
The situation has "turned so worse that those employed are not getting their pay on time".
Therefore, in order to eradicate corruption and embezzlements, the youth must be encouraged in politics at all levels, he opined.
The TDP chief called upon the youth to join the movement for the total reformation of the country.
Several senior TDP leaders also participated in the meeting. (INN)
