Naidu Confident Of TDP's Return To Power In State
Naidu ridiculed the anti-corruption drive of Rahul Gandhi, and questioned as to why Congress leaders was silent in this regards since they came to power in 2004.
Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday expressed confidence that his party would return to power in the State after the ensuing general elections.
Addressing a press conference after releasing the dairy of the electricity employees union at the NTR Trust Bhavan here, Naidu said that TDP would come back to power in the ensuing elections.
Further, he added that the TDP would play a key role in the formation of next government at the Centre.
Naidu blamed the Congress government for energy crisis in the state.
He said that the Congress government did not implement the power reforms initiated by the TDP government. He pointed out towards the ineffective management that he claimed to be the reason for increased burden on common man.
He assured that the TDP would resolve all the problems being faced by the people. "Our cycle (TDP's election symbol) will run like a bullet bike. We will not only ensure development, but will also provide stability," he said.
The TDP chief also accused the Congress government of indulging in mass corruption.
He said that the Centre has now accepted the irregularities committed by the state government pointed out by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (GAG).
"However, the TDP has been exposing the instances of corruption by the Congress government since 2006 till now," Naidu claimed.
He also ridiculed the anti-corruption drive of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, and questioned as to why Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders were silent on corruption since they came to power in 2004.
TD Parliamentary Party leader Nama Nageshwara Rao, MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu, Vidhyut Karmika Cell president Rambabu and other leaders were also present. (INN)
