Senior BJP leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy today responded to the rumours and speculation that he is planning to quit the BJP in favour of joining another party, by saying that he was very much a part of the BJP as of now, and that he would take a decision on the matter only after Ugadi, that would fall in March this year.
Speaking to the media at Nagarkurnool, his home constituency, Reddy said that his supporters and admirers were of the strong opinion that the chances of the BJP gaining strength in Telangana were not very encouraging.
He said that he had asked his followers to wait till Ugadi by which time he expected to be able to take a concrete decision regarding his political future.
Nagam also said that the next elections would be his last as he was not going to contest in any future elections.
Reports suggested that the former minister, who has constantly accused the ruling TRS of indulging in irregularities in irrigation projects and corruption and is therefore unlikely to join that party, may join the Congress.
