Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu announced that he would launch a 117-day "Vastunna Meekosam Padayatra" starting from tomorrow.
The party said the 2,300 km padayatra would start from Hindupur in Anantapur district, from where party founder late N T Rama Rao had contested.
The Padayatra aims at covering all the three regions of the state - Rayalaseema, Telangana and Andhra - between October 2, 2012 and January 26, 2013.
The TDP president also said that the Congress was losing its power in the country, and that the 2014 elections would see a massive change.
Meanwhile, Samaikyandhra and Jai Andhra leaders feel that Naidu's letter in support of Telangana would create problems during his padayatra in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema areas.
Naidu said that the main aim of this yatra is to focus on the people's issues, SC categorization and BC declaration.
Naidu is planning to walk 20km a day for 117 days, and aims to cover 13 districts during his padayatra ending on January 26 in Srikakulam.
Naidu had a similar yatra in the year 2008, in which he had covered all the districts. The party says it is all set for the padayatra, and that the blueprint for the same us ready.
