Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who has been on his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra, has been bombarded with several health problems over the past 3 days. However, he is reportedly determined to walk without a break, even after doctors have advised him to take rest.
Naidu had earlier developed blisters under his feet on the 3rd day of his yatra, and had ignored the doctor's advice of rest, saying the blisters would dry away.
After this came an eye-infection he developed on the 9th day, due to the petals showered on him by his supporters. Specialists who checked Naidu advised him to use eye-drops and to stop the showering of flowers on him as this could lead to serious eye-infection.
As if this were not enough, on the 10th day, just as Naidu got up to begin his padayatra, he developed acute pain in his hip region, and collapsed on the seat of his vehicle. Doctors who examined him said it was a muscle sprain, and prescribed him a dose of pain killers. He was later attended to by a physiotherapist for relief from the pain.
All of this has surprisingly not stopped Naidu from resuming his padayatra with determination - he proceeded towards Uravakonda town, where people had alredy assembled for him.
In his speech to the masses, Naidu promised to offer trasparency in his administration, and that he would keep out corruption.
