The Telugu Desam Party, which is currently conducting its Vastunna Meekosam Padayatra led by party president N Chandrababu Naidu, is now planning another yatra to kick-start Naidu's son Nara Lokesh's political career.
This mass-contact programme is expected take place in the Coastal Andhra districts of Guntur, Krishna, West Godavari, and East Godavari, as TDP leaders feel that this regoin will benifit from reinforcement of TDP's message by someone who is young and energetic.
TDP leaders have been demanding for the full-time engagement of Nara Lokesh in the party business for a while now, as they say that it is his duty as NTR's grandson, Balakrishna's son-in-law, and Chandrababu's son, to serve the people and to bring progress to the Telugu Desam Party.
They hope that his entry into the political scene will bring some much needed support from the youth, and also that he will be able to pull the party out of the rut that it seems to have gotten into.
Meanwhile, Lokesh himself has reportedly agreed to this decision, and has apparently been working out to prepare himself for the rigors of a padayatra.
