Congress Claims TRS Splurged Money & Liquor For Votes
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the TRS had distributed huge amounts of money and liquor to get votes in the recent Municipal elections.
Congress Legistature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today said that the recent municipal elections did not see competition between the Congress and the TRS, but between the money and liquor of the ruling party and the democratic values of the Congress.
Addressing the media at Khammam, Vikramarka alleged that the ruling party had distributed huge amounts of money and liquor to induce the voters and get their votes.
He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was degrading the state with his corrupt practices and illicit money. He also accused the CM of butchering democracy by using money and liquor to win elections.
The CLP leader said that democratic institutions were being destroyed in the state in order to allow only the rich to take part in politics. He urged the authorities concerned to take steps for the protection of the democratic values by cracking the whip on those who are violating them. He also said that the intellectuals and social activists should fight unitedly and create awareness among the common people.
The CLP leader said that the Congress leaders and workers had worked extra hard for the victory of the party given the money and muscle power of the TRS leaders, and told his party leaders and workers that the Congress would form the next government in the State.
