Congress Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao strongly opposed the proposed public meeting by the YSR Congress party to rally for Samaikyandhra, in Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Hanumantha Rao said, "YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy should not be permitted to conduct a public meeting in Hyderabad as it can create law and order problems in the city."
He ridiculed Jagan's claims that he would provide justice to the Telangana region if the state continues to be united. He alleged that Jagan, along with his late father Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, had plundered the resources of Telangana during the latter's regime as the Chief Minister.
Hanumantha Rao also alleged that YSRCP leader Sharmila had referred to Hyderabad as Pakistan, and that now her brother was trying to vitiate the atmosphere by planning to hold a meeting "against Telangana in the heart of Hyderabad". (INN)
