Daughter of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and sister of incumbent CM Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Y S Sharmila, who had recently
dropped broad hints that she would be launching herself into active politics in the days to come, and would, in all likelihood, also be launching her own party in Telangana, seems to be making good on her promise to her supporters.
While she has been seen thundering ahead with the efforts to launch her party, she has maintained that she will continue to conduct more meetings on the matter before finally deciding whether to float the party or not.
Sharmila has, however, pushed back her tours to make time to complete the paperwork needed to officially form her party. Reports even suggest that her closest aides, including Konda Raghava Reddy, are already in Delhi, to register the proposed party.
(If speculations on the matter are to be believed, Sharmila will likely announce the big launch in Khammam district on July 8, the day of her late father's birth anniversary.)
Two advisers, former IAS officer Prabhakar Reddy and former IPS officer Uday Simha, have also been appointed to help out with the party's launch and establishment. While Uday Simha had worked as the chief security officer for Sharmila's father, former AP CM YSR, Prabhakar Reddy had served as YSR's additional secretary.
Despite their apparent split and many reported differences, Sharmila and brother, Jagan, seem to believe in similar political strategies - Jagan too had appointed several of his father's former aides to key positions in his party, during his rise to power in AP.
