MP Komatireddy Sets Deadline Of September 24 For KTR
Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy set a deadline of Sep 24 for minister K T Rama Rao over the issue of the farmers of Bandaravirala and Chinna Ravirala villages.
Veteran Congress leader and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today set a deadline of 72 hours for Industries Minister K T Rama Rao over the issue of the farmers of Bandaravirala and Chinna Ravirala villages.
Reddy told the minister that the farmers had lost their lands in the land acquisition program of the state government, and that the Congress had been fighting for compensation for them for the last six years.
He said that a representation given by the party to the Ranga Reddy district Collector on the issue did not yield any result.
The MP said that he was therefore going to undertake a strike of 72 hours for justice for the farmers.
Reddy said that his agitation program would be held from 11 am on September 21 to 11 am of September 24.
He warned KTR that he would sit on a fast-unto-death at the same platform if the minister did not fulfill his demand after the 72 hours of the agitation.
Tweeting his demand, he said that this was his final warning to the minister, and that the minister, who he claimed was always active on his Twitter handle, should come forward and deliver justice to the farmers of the two villages.
