GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain on Tuesday handed over fixed deposit certificates of Rs. 1 lakh each in favour of Nancharla Avinash and Nancharla Baby, children of late Nancharla Venkataiah, under the guardianship of their grandmother Nancharla Bhimamma.

The amount was paid towards ex-gratia for the death of Venkataiah, who was a resident of Agganoor village of Ranga Reddy district, in an incident of wall collapse in Mehdijung Colony of Moula Ali on July 23. (INN)
